Photoshop Project – Videogame Photomontage

Introduction

Hey there! Here’s another little project I’d like to share 😊
I created it in Photoshop for a university assignment and really enjoyed the process.

I'm a bit anti-design—not because I dislike design, but because I don’t enjoy doing it myself. I love seeing beautiful, well-designed things (who doesn’t?). But when it’s my turn to design something, I usually solve the back-end part super quickly and then spend a lot of time on the front-end because I want it to look good no matter what.

Project Theme

The assignment was to create a photomontage based on a video game or operating system. I chose the videogame option.

The goal was to apply everything we had learned in class: layer management, effects, and achieving a visually integrated composition.
I’m proud to say I got a 10/10 on it 😄 (I had to mention it!).

Personal Tools and Preferences

Even though I used Photoshop for this project, I usually feel more comfortable working with GIMP. It’s a similar program, but the tools are placed differently and the user experience is quite distinct. Since I’m more used to GIMP, that’s usually my default choice.

Project File

I uploaded the project to GitHub. It’s inside a ZIP file because the PSD was too large.

That’s all for now!

Cheers,
Until next time!
