First Personal Project – Bulldog Kennel Website

Introduction

Hey there!
This is the first time I’m documenting something I’ve done in my free time.

This project is a website I built from scratch for my brother-in-law and his bulldog kennel. At the end of this post, you’ll find the test URL (a .TK domain).

If you like bulldogs, feel free to reach out—the contact numbers on the site are real, so go ahead and call! 🐶

About the Website

I used the Bootstrap framework as the foundation for handling CSS and the overall page structure. If you've ever used Bootstrap, you’ll know it saves a lot of time—especially with HTML—thanks to its prebuilt components available on the official site.

For the PHP part, all the templates (like the homepage and inner pages) are .php files. I structured it this way to have dynamic includes for the head, header, and footer across the entire site.

As for JavaScript, I only used what Bootstrap provides out of the box. There are still a few things I need to fix, but the project is almost finished.

Why Bootstrap?

Because it follows a mobile-first philosophy and solves all the headaches around responsive design.

That's all for now.
See you next time!
